If your friends tease you by the name Bandhar, you wouldn't earn a good position in the society if you read this article. Its making news in Africa
Monkeys are very closely related to us. Chimps are the only animals (i.e. except us) that can recognise their own reflection in a mirror. Some gorillas also have been taught human sign language. Primates have been ranked as the world's #1 tool users.
But still there is a part of their brain which has a bend towards daftness. Monkeys have been known for their greediness, selfishness and lack of common sense.
Scientists studying monkey behavior and zoologist in Africa have developed a new technique to capture monkeys in an harmless manner. They take long and narrow necked glass bottles. in them is put a large sized nut ( I don't know how). The bottle is then left in the heart of the forest, tied to a tree.
Next day the trap-layer returns to the same spot. A monkey will be found traped with its arm stuck in the long neck.
Why does this happen?
Actually, the monkey gets greedy seeing a large nut. It puts its arm into the bottle and grabs hold of the nut, But due to the large size of the nut, the monkey cannot pull its arm out of the bottle unless it lets go of the nut. The scientist then simply grabs hold of the monkey's arm and using a light hammer, gently breaks the bottle. thus the monkey gets caught.
What does this remind you of?
As gullible as a monkey
OR
As Daft as a monkey
